2024.20 Doc Announcing

Thanks to the work of Richard Hainsworth and the Raku documentation and Raku infra team, the Raku Documentation website now has a date-stamped list of announcements. And every time there’s a new announcement, this will appear in a popup window (unless you disable that feature). Kudos!

New Problem Solving Issues

New Pull Requests

Core Developments

  • John Haltiwanger improved error reporting in several situations, inspired by quite a few old issue reports.
  • Stefan Seifert fixed a race condition in updating the method cache of a class that would only expose itself on megamorphic call sites.

In RakuAST developments this week:

  • Stefan Seifert continued their work on BEGIN time and associated shenanigans in Jonathan Worthington‘s branch from last year! Starting again at 0 passing tests, it is now back at 1058.
  • Elizabeth Mattijsen fixed an issue with the parsing of the =place Rakudoc directive.
  • The number of passing test-files with the new Raku grammar are still 142/151 (make test +0) and 1063/1356 (make spectest +0).
